How to Reach Our Legal and Compliance Team

If you have a question about these terms, want to raise a formal dispute, or need to exercise a data right, you can reach the appropriate team through any of the channels below. We aim to acknowledge legal enquiries within one business day and resolve most within seven.

Team online

Legal Email

Send a written query to our legal address for formal policy questions, term clarifications, account disputes, or data-access requests. We maintain a logged response trail for all legal correspondence received at this address.

Live Chat

Our live chat team can route your enquiry to the compliance desk during operating hours. For straightforward term questions, chat is the fastest channel; for formal requests, email creates the paper trail you may need later.

Account Help Centre

The Help Centre contains the current version of these terms, our privacy notice, and the cookie policy, all timestamped so you can confirm which version was live when you opened your account or made a transaction.

HOW WE HANDLE THIS

Data Handling, Security and Your Account Rights

We operate our data and account practices under a clear framework: collect only what is necessary, store it securely, and give you meaningful control over it.

Data We Collect

We collect account registration details, transaction records including UPI and Paytm reference IDs, device identifiers, and session activity. We do not sell this data to third parties for marketing purposes. You can request a copy of what we hold at any time.

Cookie Controls

Cookies on e01 fall into three categories: strictly necessary, analytical, and preference. You can withdraw consent for non-essential cookies through the cookie banner or your account settings at any time, and changes take effect on your next session.

Account Security

Account access is protected by password authentication and, optionally, two-factor verification via SMS or authenticator app. We log all login attempts and flag unusual access patterns. You will be notified by email if a new device is used to access your account.

Data Retention

Transaction and identity records are retained for the period required under applicable financial regulations, typically five to seven years from the date of the relevant transaction. After that period, data is deleted or anonymised unless a legal hold is in effect.

Your Right to Access and Correction

You may request a full export of your personal data, ask us to correct inaccurate records, or request deletion of data we are not legally required to retain. Submit requests via the legal email channel; we will confirm receipt within 24 hours.

Dispute and Escalation Path

If you believe your account has been handled in breach of these terms, you may raise a formal dispute by email. If our response does not resolve the matter within 14 days, the dispute may be escalated to the relevant supervisory authority in your jurisdiction.

Legal Terms — Your Questions

The answers below address the practical questions we receive most often about our legal terms, data practices, and account conditions. If yours is not listed, the legal email channel is the right place to ask.

Access and participation depend on the laws of your specific state or territory within India. It is your responsibility to confirm that your use is permitted under local law. We accept accounts only where local law allows participation.

The version of the terms that was live at the time you registered forms the basis of your account agreement. When we publish a material update, we notify active account holders by email, and continued use of your account constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Send a written request to our legal email address with your registered account details. We will compile and deliver your data export within 30 days. The export includes registration data, transaction history, and any communications we hold on file.

You can request deletion of data we are not legally required to keep. Transaction records tied to financial obligations must be retained for the period required by applicable regulations. We will confirm exactly what can and cannot be deleted when we respond to your request.

Payments via UPI, Paytm, or PhonePe are governed at the instrument level by those providers' own terms. For any account-level decision — such as a disputed credit or withdrawal reversal — our wallet terms take precedence. Both sets of terms apply concurrently.

After account closure, your personal data is retained for the legally required period, typically five to seven years for transaction records. Non-transactional data such as preference settings is deleted within 90 days of closure unless a legal hold applies.

Raise your complaint by email to our legal address. We aim to resolve formal disputes within 14 days. If our resolution does not satisfy your concern, you may escalate to the relevant regulatory or supervisory authority applicable in your jurisdiction.
